Project description:
Adhesion GPCRs form the second largest class of GPCRs and are highly essential in health and disease, rendering them promising drug targets. It has become increasingly clear that they are essential players in various biological processes, especially in metabolism regulation. However, for many of them their specific roles in this context are poorly understood and the group of Simone Prömel in Düsseldorf aims to provide a mechanistic link between their signalling capacities and physiological impact.
More info can be found here.

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are exchange visits aimed at supporting individual mobility, strengthening existing networks and fostering collaboration between researchers. A STSM should specifically contribute to the scientific objectives of ADHEsion GPCR Network (https://www.cost.eu/actions/CA18240/#tabs|Name:overview), whilst at the same time allowing those partaking in the missions to learn new techniques, gain access to specific data, instruments, or methods that are not available in their own institutions.
