Project description:
The project “Application of new nanostructured materials in medical diagnostics” entails studying of oxidative damage to proteins in different metabolic states, and of the mechanisms of cell death induced by age-related protein carbonylation. Strategies for detection and analysis of protein carbonylation using new nanostructured materials will be developed. Postdoctoral researcher will be guided by Dr. Katarina Trajkovic (Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences in Split, Croatia) and Dr. Anita Krisko (University Medical Center Goettingen, Germany).
